I am very impressed by his attitude about this whole process. He says he will make the best of whatever happens. If he gets selected for Ranger school, he wrote that he will become a Ranger. He said that nothing will stop him from accomplishing that goal. But on the flipside, he said that he will make the best of it if he has to go to Alaska. He wrote that he hopes to be able to go to school while he is stationed there, which was always part of his plan at some point in the future.
On the 'it warms a Mother's heart' front, he said that he feels a lot better since being forced to eat healthier in the Army and plans to continue eating healthy, ditching the soda and training for longer running events in the future. Happily, he asked me to find a race for us to run together if he gets to come home after graduation. That is a request I will be very happy to oblige!
